Serene Fishing Company owns 2,000 sq m of storage facilities in the port of Lerwick, and rents office space for logistics and management tasks. Efficient inventory management allows to avoid the warehouse's overstocking. To preserve the quality of products and avoid their damage, proper temperature requirements are maintained in the warehouses.
Upon the return of fishing vessels to the port, products are unloaded, sorted and packed, with the unloaded vessel sent to the mooring to wait for the next voyage. At the same time, the Logistics Centre schedules loading and sets up the route of the transport ship, after which it delivers the goods to the sales outlets. The core competencies of office managers include the drafting of accompanying documents (CMR note, product certification), and maintaining the balance of products sold.
Serene Fishing Company has its own fishing gear shop. Our own shop allows to reduce the cost of the main production and the cost of goods we produce. Mostly, we manufacture seines and trawls.
